Today the crew breaks down the NBA Finals matchup and dives into one of the game's biggest debates: Old School vs. New School Basketball. Has the modern game evolved for the better, or has today's generation become too soft compared to the physical, hard-nosed eras of the past?

Joining the conversation is special guest Mr. ReUp, also known as LBS, bringing his signature energy and unfiltered opinions to the table. Together, the panel debates whether toughness in today's NBA is underrated, how the game has changed over the decades, and what today's stars would look like in previous eras.

The spotlight then shifts to a fascinating Finals showdown as the crew asks the big question: Does Jalen Brunson have what it takes to outduel Victor Wembanyama and lead his team to championship glory? From leadership and clutch performances to size, skill, and basketball IQ, no angle is left unexplored.

Expect bold predictions, passionate debates, and plenty of basketball talk as The Alley Oop Show delivers another can't-miss episode for hoops fans everywhere.

Yeah, we good. Yo, what up, what up, what up? This certified legend main event. This is the Alley U Sports Show, not your ordinary alley U. And it's your boy, Rockstar Q, man. It's your boys. We back. Hey, Pops, man. We got a lot to talk about, yo. To be honest with you, right? So look, the W is back. That's all I'ma say. It was a lot of talks before. Remember, that it wasn't gonna be a season, that they wasn't getting paid enough, that this, that, and the third. So they was able to get those deals done. Now the women are, some of the players are getting close to one to two to three mil. I love it. You know what? I was watching the game the other day, and what got me was those arenas just filled. Shout out to the W. If y'all don't know what the W is, it's the W N B A. See, look, see about the star stuff. Look, I always said this. You got the NBA, right? Yeah. You got the W NBA. Even though teams may not be the Los Angeles, you got the Los Angeles Sparks, shout out to Sis. Um one won a championship with the Sparks, you got the Lakers. So let's just say franchises like the Lakers and the Sparks. I think that parent franchise should be supportive. Not saying that they're not, but if they're not, they should be supportive because that's yo, that's the women, yo. Listen, we would not be here if it wasn't for the female. So how we don't support them? WNBA, y'all will always have our full support. It just makes it even dandier. Um, because our my sister is aunt, Samika Dixon, got chips in the WNBA. So we're gonna salute y'all, we're gonna support y'all, and I I encourage y'all to support the WNBA too. We got a big, big, big, big guest today, yo. Absolutely. We do, absolutely do. And you know what this is the thing about this guest today, right? Talk to me. There's a lot of things going on at Maine Event in France, right? Here at Maine Event in France. Yeah. So I was watching this guest. They got a show up here, right? And I was watching him on this white couch, him and his crew, and they know about sports. They don't know about sports, but they know about sports, but they don't know about sports, but they know about sports. So I'm like, okay, I think it's time to really see what's going on. With this, with the knowing and not knowing. Yeah, because I love y'all. I love their topics, you know what I mean? It's love. I love it, I love it, I love it. But I say, you know what? Nah, we gotta, we gotta figure something out, man. We gotta, we gotta figure something out. For those that don't know, y'all might know them as pounds, but see, the difference is this, is that they say things never stays the same. Even your pounds and your body, your weight don't stay the same, right? Dollar bill don't change it. $100 bill change, everything changed. But the thing is this, and this is for hustlers, this is even for everyday walks of life. His new name. And I want to introduce him. No other than Mr. Rio, welcome to the show. Yeah. What up, baby? What's good? What up, baby? Your son, what's good? Yeah, we had to bring him through, man. How you doing? How you doing? All right, man, what's good with y'all? We want to tell y'all how real this show is, right? So we in here talking and Rio said, yo, somebody wanna talk to you on the phone. So I thought come on, man. For real, cuz. Come on, man. Last time I spoke to you was in South Carolina, man, chilling in the pool, man, with Chris and them. Come on, man. Long story short, this is my cousin. That's great. Yo, if it's my cousin, this is our cousin. So that's our cousin. That's our cousin. You know what I'm saying? Like, this fitness is this this this that's why I say, yo, this show real. So basically, remember we talked about um yesterday, we were talking about like far as different forms of alley oops. He threw, he was throwing me an alley oop, not knowing that his father, my cousin, used to throw me alley oops. You know what I'm saying? So we want to salute, salute, salute. Salute to this family, baby. I know you got some questions. Um, but what are we doing? Look, man, listen. Before all of this start, listen, I'm glad we brought him on. We got our guy on, man. Listen, we got some breaking news, right? Son slid across the desk before we started here. And Donald Trump is expected to be at the NBA Finals, bruh. Yo, this talking about the Knicks. Now, look. No, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Yo, listen. There's a thin line now. Now, is this this is this is what this is what's going on? This is what's going on. We're gonna talk about Trump. They say we're gonna have to benefit from it. Now, this is. He's expected to be at the NBA Finals, bruh. He be at the UFC fights. Listen, listen, listen, listen. You know, Trump Towers is different, bro. He's gonna be different. Come on, yo. I don't think, yo, only certain fans, they rather have Barack than Trump there. I mean, he, I mean, all I'm gonna say is this. He better be careful. That's all I'm gonna say. He's looking like he could, he's good. He done survived two of those. Yeah, yo, he's surviving for yours. Listen. He ain't just uh easy to the survived things that might be planned. Yo, you know, every time, you know, when pictures be like this, they'll be like, yo, with the air, they'll be like, yo, that means I can switch out. Yo, the next thing you know, bow. Next thing you know, bow. But look though, I listen, I I'm not, I don't really, I don't think he should be there. You know what I mean? I like I said, uh, he don't never go nowhere else. Don't pull up now. I mean, but he's really invested into it. He's he's a president, right? He's invested in a head. He invested in a lot, he's a president. But I'm saying though, you never talked about the Knicks at all till now. Because you saying they was a, they was the team wasn't good. Like his statement was the team wasn't good, haven't been good for a while. So it's good that they're starting to get back on track. Cool. And one thing I do know, and I will state this fact the NBA is better when the Knicks is winning. That's all I'm gonna say. The NBA is better when the Knicks is winning. And it's coming from an Knicks fans? Well, hold up, wait, wait, wait, hold up. We gotta find out what hold up. You fan? Who you say? My my my team is is ain't even in there. I don't want to say it but y'all Knicks fans? No, I'm not a Knicks fan. I'm not a Knicks. We fans, oh, we journalists. We journalists, we fans of the game. But who you have to do your team? I'm a Mavericks fan. Mavericks. I'm a Celtics fan. Celtics. You know who I'm a fan? What? Of the game. Of the game. I'm just a fan of the girl. If y'all listening here, y'all ever see my team. My Pops is a fan of the team that's playing on TV at that time. I haven't fan of the team that's winning at that time. He don't care about none of that. Respectfully, I know y'all probably got names for me. I haven't lost a championship in no sport. Because he picked the team that wins a chip every year. I don't pick my team to the last game. Am I wrong? No, for real. Football. The last like right now, the seventh of series, right? With the with the Knicks. Whoever wins, he's gonna be like, yo, y'all see my Knicks. See my Knicks the next day. See my UC. Yo, y'all think the Knicks about to beat the Spurs? Now look, it's about that energy. Now look, I'm gonna tell you why we gotta tell you why. Yo, I got Neff, I got Neff Harper over there. So I'm gonna tell you why. I'm gonna tell you why they winning. I'm gonna tell you why they might win. Why? They might win. Okay. I know what it's like to play for a team that everybody thinks is can't beat that big person. Like Wimby is 7'5, he look unstoppable, right? Right? But it's always a bunch of dogs that just come around that that scrappy and they they they they they it's the it's the energy. Like like they Wimby and the Spurs are playing more than just the Knicks. See, I keep you keep saying Wimby in the Spurs. It's like you like that dog energy, right? Yeah. Castle, Harper, they dogs. No, no, they all dogs. But remember though, remember though. These are also dudes, these are also dudes that's taking their first step ever onto a finals court. That's that energy different. But they got some veterans. That any who? What Knicks? What Knicks? They got Harrison Barnes. They got Harrison Barnes, Facts. I don't know. I'm just gonna go back to the case. Cat Benton. Cat Benton, he's a copy. Listen, listen, listen. We go to this camp. My young son, Jan fan. We take him to his camp and sell good guys. Listen. All of a sudden he got. I don't know, I could be wrong though. I got a nickname for Cat. You gotta toughen up. I got a nickname for Cat. What you call it? Listen, listen. Listen, listen, listen, listen, man. I call him sassy cat because he's sassy. He played, yo, I never seen a person play sassy basketball. Like, like he do, he do little things that just that just be like, he'll dunk on you, but like, it'd be just weird. Like, it'd be like, I never seen a person that yell, like, and it's not scary. And it's not scary. Like, it's like, ah, but I know that's the death. But that's a Dominican in him, though. That's a Dominican in him. So I could I can see that. Like I can see where the whole sassy stuff comes from. Oh, but you can't do that to the Dominicans. Nah, I love the Dominican. I love my Dominicans, but I ain't never, ain't never, no, nothing. I'm just saying, that's where a little bit of it come from when people be like, Well, wait, we gotta you gotta clear up with the sassy this thing. No, I'm saying, like, I'm saying, like, like for instance, right? I seen him on the free throw line, he shooting a free throw. He shot the free throw. After he shot the free throw, he did like a little jerk back, like a little like like he was just wilding, like, and then people be catching him like talking like he like he's zesty a little bit, right? But I just think that's just his culture. Like, that's who he like. I don't like the way he's soft, I don't like the way that certain things he be soft about. That's all. But he be soft about certain things. All right, so that's sassy, right? Yeah, a little sassy, but respectfully though. No, no, no. Sassy kill how about this? If that's sassy, yeah. I was watching a game, right? Bro, I seen a dude digging his butt and smelling, and then he's trying to free throw it. You talking about MB. What is that? Now look, Joel Mbeat is a whole nother. I'ma keep it G. That's like nigga shit. Yeah. But that's the I'm saying jerking your body. But he does a little bit. You know what I mean? Like, it's like, it's more like, it's more like ah yeah. I'm gonna take the sassy in that way, versus somebody like you go to the foul line, everybody got their ritual they do. The dude, like, I don't know, man. He did his part that he was like, Joel and B did it for like, he did it for like a a few months. Like he kept doing it. I think he was just trolling. I think he was just trolling. That's weird. I think he was just trolling, though. Now they trolling weird. You see what your Knicks fans. Uh you say yeah. No, no, no, no, no. My bad. Energy. We're energy. We're on energy. Energy. Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know when they won with energy fans. When they won their little shit in the in the middle of the league, and no doubt. The uh playing. See, that's a now that's the only thing that that's the only reason why I don't think they're gonna win, cuz you can't win both, bro. You can't win both. I don't think you can win both. That's fire, but they ain't winning both. I don't think so. I feel like the Spurs, too, like they too. Like, yo, they but they did break the barrier. They said that the any team that won an NBA Cup every year that win any NBA Cup, they get knocked out the first the first round. They made it to the finals, bro. They the first team to do it. So it's like what I'm saying is they ain't been to the finals since 1999, bro. They ain't been to the final 25 years. You think so? Nah, that boy. Nah. Yo, that boy, yeah. I see him. Yo, yes. Yo, he's close to the game. He could be stopped, though. Yo, he could be stopped, though. He could be stopped, though. He could be stopped, though. Everybody could be stopped. Know how? Because you gotta have a certain type of bump. If, like for instance, Isaiah Hardstein, when they won them games, them two games that they won, and when he was bumping them, bumping them, bumping them, hitting them, you know what I mean? Hit him in his chest before he even gets to the free throw line. You see what happened? Wimby just went to a whole nother, he went to a whole nother level and started really banking, started showing his game, right? Now he going against a center and somebody that is just similar. Like cat could bang with him, bro. Stop. I'm telling you, bro. Stop. He got Jersey in him still. Stop. It's in him. He's yo, yo, it's either. So who bangs with him? Or it's gonna be a lost night. You heard? You heard? Who they got? No, who they who the niggas. No, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. If Kat. Wimby's not a bang. C C we gotta we gotta stop putting that. Wimby's not a banger. He's not. Wimby is finesse. But he could bang with you. But he could bang with you. He don't have to, though. Cat's gonna make him work. In order for the Knicks to win, cat has to make him work. I done seen Kat be like, yo, you get him. I'm I'm all fat. I ain't dealing with that. You know who I'm putting on him, Funny Knicks? Who? OG. That's baby, that's baby Kawhi right there. That's fool. That's not fool. Not fool. His mentor is Kawhi Leonard, bro. You wanna chip with him? Yes, for you. You wanna chip with him? OG and Anobi. He's Aki just like, bro. He played D just like bro. You seen Wimby now? Bro, like right now, bro. He gotta sustain that for another four, gang. That's that it's that's still a lot to sustain. I'm saying you seen Wimby now? I see him now. What's the difference? Ain't nobody doing that. This is his lead. Like, cut it down. This is his lead. Is it safe to do this? So with the Wimby, not Chetby, right? Not Chen. Do the Knicks, I don't know if they still do this, but I know when I was playing, you know, we would have on a board, the coach would have on the chalkboard. This cat right here, for whatever reason, gonna score 20. Here put 20 on the board. Now, do we just put 30 or whatever, and then the Knicks gotta worry about the other team? Now you said something earlier about, see, I don't know the player names, but I know their faces. The guy you mentioned, I think Basil, one got an afro, he was killing the other one that goes right at the basket. I like his game. That's hard. Harper go at the basket. Uh Castle the shooter, uh the shooting guard for the Spirits. He goes, You never been sell? Yo, my sale is champagne. Castle the one that draws here. That's why I go to the cup. I was we we were just talking yesterday. I was selling Rockstar, like, yo, when people hear the word him, like I'm him, I'm come from an era where you gotta beat the best to be the best. I'm from the era where you gotta show me what you're gonna do. You feel me? Your name don't mean nothing. So right now with these matchups, I'm really gonna get a chance to see if Brunson is him. Not saying he's not. Not saying none of those guys is not him. But this right here, it's gonna be real. What do you think? What you think, what you think he's about to do? Yo, I just wanna know. We got hold on, I kept saying we. I don't like the Spurs. See, look, see, we we got I make fans. Look, look, look. We're gonna see lost it. Yo, as y'all can see I went, heads you lose. Y'all can see, they're the only ones with the we. I stand on mind. I stand on the mind. They the only ones with the we. I stand on mine. The Spurs got four or five guards that play defense. Yo, that does not matter. If Jalen is scoring four games, listen, listen, listen. He's seen that already. He's seen every type of defense you could think of. Every type of defense. Know why? Why? Because it started when he was with somebody that seen every type of defense, Luca. That's what he was the right-hand man to him. No, what I'm saying is the reason why he left the Mavericks was to be his own Luca, his own version of Luca, and that's what he became. Bro, they say he's a Brunson burner, cuz that's like a whole nother. Let that draw start burning. And New York gonna start, New York gonna start burning. Bro, everywhere they go is the guard. So hold on, hold on. All right, so here's what I'm saying. Yes, he he played some defenses. You're telling me that Jason, I mean, I'm not bringing Jason. Brunson, Brunson, Brunson played a team where he is four guards on that team, and all four of them played excellent defense. That's what I'm saying. Uh they beat the Spurs twice this season by 20, gang. So you're saying they could beat them in 20. And that's the four that you're talking about. And he had 40. Maybe had maybe had less than that. Maybe maybe had less than that. I don't know. Look, maybe had less than that. But I know they won by yo, maybe they had less than that, but they won by 20 when they played the Spurs. So, with Wimby. So it's it's not no, he can be stopped, gang. He can't be stopped. No why? Because they got that heart, bro. I'm telling you, they got it. I think both I think they both play team. Wimby is about to have 60. 60? Like, he talks about 20. This is the revenge, though. But that's what I'm saying. The NBA Cup. Now you ain't know. The NBA Cup, they played the Knicks. What is that? That was the in-season tournament. No, yeah. The in-season tournament. So they played the Knicks in the championship in Lawrence. Yes, in Law. That's gonna be real. So this is a rematch. Yeah, but this is seven games. Like they, like, like we're talking about the Knicks. They not doing this to the Spurs. You think they beating the Spurs? So right here, right now. Right here, right now, what's your predictions? What's your prediction? I'm going Spurs and six. Spurs and six. What's yours? I'm going Knicks and seven. You know what mine is? You know what mine is? He goes with the energy. You think they're going to be a good thing. Wimby better get out of there. They better not do no type of ceremony. They better not do nothing in the garden, bro. I'm telling you that now. What? New York crazy. Nah, they're crazy. New York crazy. Six for eight. Hold on. When be Wimby all right. When be going to play A and one right now. Against against he not having 75? 75 is crazy. That is wild. No, with the game. We had that conversation earlier, bro. Like, listen. Hold on. Wimby not giving y'all 75? Come on, man. He wouldn't have made it that far. The game went down. Hold on, I'm glad you're talking about. I'm not hurting like that, but we that's a different thing. I can't get it. No, Wimby don't, no. Wimby is dope, but no, it's a different bunk outside them NBA lines. Why do the old heads, I had to ask this, why do the old heads feel like they better than the young niggas? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, no. It's not that. It's not that. No, no, no. We don't think we better. We don't think we're better. It's just like, think about it. Let's we're gonna we're gonna flip it. We driving, right? They got where back in the days you just got one highway, right? But now it's many other highways. Like we just we just took other highways, other ways. So we we not better. I just know that you asked me a question, how would we contain Wimby? Man, I don't ain't nobody gonna get 60 if I'm on a team. I don't give a damn. Listen, I'm gonna utilize every this where you lose this is where you utilize every aspect of basketball. Your fouls, especially. So if somebody got 60, I might foul out. When you get about 25, 30. But why the old why the old NBA. But the biggest thing is they solve. We would have fucked them up and we would have did this. No, no, is that basketball? No, no, yeah, yeah, yes, yes. No we mean? No, no, okay. OG's out there, OG's OG. I'm gonna clear this up. I'm gonna clear this up for the young people. All right? I ain't gonna call on YG's. This is a good brother and his family, my son and my cousin. This is this is what we mean. Let's say we're in a game, right? Yeah, and this is basketball from my era. We're in a game, and this guy's just killing my guard for say. Mm-hmm. We're gonna get a huddle. And I'm gonna say, yo, I'm ahead of him. I'm ahead of him. Run him through a strong pick. That's not it's not that that's that's basketball. We knew how to slow you down. Like we knew how to slow the best players down. Remember blowing up this blowing up the cutter? Yeah, yeah. That's a foul now. Pop him through the coming through the lake. You pop yourself, yo. That's how you wake somebody up. I used to wake people up off that. Like, but you know, that the the the biggest argument is the young players is soft. The older players, we could have, we had to beat them all up. No why because the reason why the old has like, bruh, I try to explain this to my pop before. I said if he was to get his five, his group of his friends, and my group of friends, we would beat them. The reason we would beat them is because I'm gonna tell you why. I'm gonna tell you why. We were done with that, bro. Look, he brings this up every time. I'm gonna tell you why. I'ma tell you why. Again, tell me why again. Because y'all shoot twos. We shoot twos and two. We shoot twos and threes. Y'all don't know. Three is more than two. Y'all don't, and then look, y'all wasn't raised or grew up on guarding niggas at half court. No, at all. Y'all have you have to guard us at half court. Steph Curry? No. So y'all must play games where you don't get no fouls. What you mean, fouls? You see what I'm saying? Listen, you get no, no, no. Listen, if a guy comes down and he's human, he's just gonna pull up from half court. We gotta call a huddle. We we we war, we we infantry men. So what do you do with bonds, though? What do you do with big two from half court? Five that shoe from half court, then you get the each corner, you get one up. So by the time you get to the fourth corner where it count, you got one of those guys that doubles that guy. And it's not hurting nobody. Yo, y'all thinking like, no, it's not hurting nobody. That's what they said. He was getting clothes line, pulled out the hair, and then go to the hole, y'all crying. It's like, yo, that's not basketball. Basketball is right messy. So, right now, what we see now, I think it's just more skill. I like this. I said it on the other show. So you got Wiley Dixon, you got main event. Main event gonna say the the league is soft, main event. But Wiley Dixon understands that they're protecting their investments. These guys, the the way that I'm saying how we play, they couldn't play 82 games like that. Nah. LeBron just can't go pure on a dunk on you because you got that bump. So they take the bump away, and now they can kind of predict and protect the athletes because these guys in investment, these guys got 100 million, 200 million contracts. So these dude can't go up and run like that though. So what happened to just slide your feet? Slide your feet. You would slide your feet when you really wasn't getting nothing to eat. But none of these guys is really eating, you know what I mean? So I slide my feet when I did this phone. And we did all types of bow though. Listen, you know, they got time management, pinky toe hurts with seven footage. We do not see. That's what I'm talking about, right? That's brutal. The whole of them getting hurt, they tell me, never. Hold on, hold on, hold on. I gotta say, if I'm talking about my body, my secondary, yes, I'm loving that shit. You about to sit down for a couple games. Hear what I'm saying. I understand what they're saying, right? Back in the day it was a flip phone. And now you got an iPhone, right? It it's just it's everything upgraded. Upgrades. Nigga, listen, listen. You want me to go play 82 fucking games. Y'all not looking out for me. Because in reality, 82 fucking games, that's a long time. You play your job, though. That's your job. Again, it's your job. Just because it's your job don't mean die. Don't mean I'm about to break my leg because y'all feel the niggas that's not doing it feel like I should be running up this bitch 82 times. Y'all don't do that. So how so how you think people feel that wake up every morning going to their regular job? That's dying. That then that's then they dying. They they probably feel the same way, but they get up every day and do it. So at the end of the day, they just privileged enough to be good at what they do to make millions, to make all this money. But you telling me that somebody that worked hard every single day, bruh. Like I used to hate going to NBA games. For instance, I went to go see my favorite player was James Harden, right? I went to go see James Harden play. I never seen him play, gang. I never seen him play. Every game that I ever went to, he either got hurt or he got traded. So what I'm saying is people spending their hard-earned money to go see somebody play and they not playing. So that may be the one time that they could ever see this person and they sitting out. Yo, can I say this? Can I do this real quick? So I like that. I like because it's two angles, right? It's two sides of this that we always talk about. So you agree that I'm doing this, I'm giving my all every game. If I take a little vacation or whatever you want to call it, I do it. Now I'm gonna show you something. Check this out right here. If y'all can't hear it, kid that we met at Los Angeles, he flew 13 hours just to go see Wimby. And Wimby didn't play. I filmed at all. So that's what I'm saying. Wimby sat out, so you know what I'm saying. I was telling Bobby flew 13 hours, spent mad money just to go see Wimby, and Wimby sat out. And that kid wasn't sad or nothing, but it was just he wanted to see Wimby play. You know what's crazy? I'm not tripping off that, right? I'm a put it to the money. Yeah. He's crazy again. He just wanted to see him. Let me ask you. Both of y'all right. There's no really wrong answer. Let me ask you a question, right? You think Wimby had in his mind, like, I don't want to play because I just don't want to play and fuck with that. You think he had a bigger one? Nah, any of these basketball. I don't think these basketball players are saying, you know, I don't care about the fans, I don't care about the game, and I'm gonna just sit out. I don't think it's that. I think they're caring about their longevity now. Because I don't watch, I don't watch my old heads play ball and my vet come and my vet damn near can't even walk because he was trying to play and and he's trying to prove a point because I got 80 million, so I better die for this shit. Nah. You know what I think it is? I got longevity. I think it's mental. No, no, no, no, it's it's taking care of yourself. No, no, I no, I'm not I'm talking about when it comes to certain players, like like certain players that be sitting out and stuff like that. I think it's really mental. I think some of them are losing the fun of the game. Like you remember, when you start getting into business, when it comes to sports, like yeah, all through middle school, high school, basketball the best thing that ever happened to you. You feel the best. But as soon as you touch that college campus, as soon as you touch them college weights, as soon as you touch those, you wake up and get them 8 a.m., 8 a.m. workouts and 8 a.m. and you got class after. That's not fun no more. It don't get fun. At all. You don't get fun. It gets because now you gotta worry about your teachers and your classrooms and your advisors. Then on the whole other side, you got practice. You got coaches. You don't know what, you don't know what coach, but then look, every year, it's a mental game. Every year they're gonna recruit somebody that's in your position. And you gotta beat that person every year, every year, every year. It's the same thing. So it's like when you get to the NBA, yeah, all the millions is cool, all that is fine. But I guarantee you that sometimes, like you said, them 82 games, about 50, 60, you'll be like, ah, you know how it's easy to just be like, ah, yo, I can just sit out right now, yo. I'm gonna sit this one out. I I woke up this morning, yo, my leg was messed up. It probably ain't even nothing wrong with you. But you bitch. You go through shoot around, you go through all of that. Like, nothing, like everything fine, but as soon as the game about to start, yo, he had a uh he had a poll. But look at the business side though. This is the business side. They don't tell you that until you until the game, till you're there. Yeah. Then you don't know that your favorite player, you know what I'm saying? Like, I remember it was something back, like when I was like when I was in high school, I forgot what it was called, but it was like a website that used to tell us, like, hours and hours way before the game, like what happened. Like this dude woke up such and such, his grandmother passed. Like they would, it would be like some personal stuff. Like, I don't know if it was like some dark web, something, I don't know. But it would like they would say all of this stuff, and you would literally see like the the difference in the player. Like you like, like I said, these players are still human, bro. You know what I mean? They still go through what we go through. Yeah, they make millions and stuff, but having all yo, like you said, more money, more power. Like my brain is there. Um, my little ticking my knee. Yeah, y'all see me walking, but this shit really hurt. Like, really hurt like that. But they think because you got all this money that you that you got the best doctors and all this stuff. Yeah, you can have the best, yo, you can have the best doctor in the world. Ain't nobody better than the one upstairs. Yeah, that's a good thing. So at the end of the day, if the if the one upstairs tell you, yo, your knee done, but the doctor tell you you could come back in three weeks, who you trusting? Yeah. I ain't gonna trust the doctor that's telling me three weeks because now he that might mess me up for the rest of my life. I look at you know, you know who the big example is what we're talking about, Kawhi. I used to be like, yo, dang, Kawhi always sitting out. Why you sitting out? Why you sitting out? And then you look and he's like, I seen him say, like, yo, people don't care what I got going on. They care what they got going on. And he understands that, but I'm not gonna kill myself because y'all don't care. Like, you know what I mean? I understand y'all don't care. I don't care neither. I'm about to take care of me. You get what I'm saying? I understand that. It's not personal. It's not personal. I don't think nobody gets answered. No, no, no, no. I'm going, I'm really going through what I'm going through, but y'all want me to come out here and hoop. Like some people is strong enough mentally to be like, yo, I'm going to, I'm going to, I could just get through the couple of things. How many Kobe's is mentally? It's not that many Kobe's. It's not that many of them. Not many of them. You know what I mean? But like this is why NIL and all that stuff is going out of control though. Because a kid rather be, like, yo, I would rather be in high school and college playing right now because you can get paid. You can take care of your family at a young age doing what you love to do. Yeah. It's not regular. You know what I mean? It's not, it's not, they don't have no control over that, bro. Like, yo, it's kids coming in, bro. This kid just committed to a D1 school to play ball, bro. He got two kids and a whole family, bro. You know what I mean? Coaches is like, yo, I want older kids, older players. Coaches, high coaches not even recruiting high school kids anymore. If you're not in the top 10 of that ESPN list, or in the top 30, maybe, you ain't going to college for free, bro. They not looking at you because they're going to grown. If you could show me you can dog. Y'all think that's fair? To be honest, to be honest, it's not fair, but it is fair because now I look at it like this. Those same cats that they say they're the best, they all go to men's leagues and they dog in the men's leagues. Dog. Shout out, shout out top shifty, Anderson Diaz. He just went out playing his first men's league game out of New York yesterday. 36 points, nine threes. About to go to Alabama, senior high school. You know what I mean? This is senior high school, bro. Yeah, 36 and 93s. And men's league. I'm for I'm for it. It's gotta be regulated. It gotta be like some type of thing. It gotta fix it. It's gotta be regulated and knowing the purpose. We gotta have a, it gotta be some kind of, we gotta get the people that's involved together. Could they just be throwing these different stuff out on us and they're NIL da dah da da, you know, and the committee? Yo, get these, get these kids, yo. Yo, get these kids, please get these kids financials advisors. Are y'all giving y'all giving kids in high school and college millions of dollars without really any type of, like, I know the top school's probably y'all got your own little financial stuff, but I'm talking about these kids that's in D2, D D uh, low D1, the ones that's getting all the money wherever you at high school, in high school, like teach them to continue their growth with their money, not to just go buy the first chain they see or you know what I mean, the first car they want. Because at the end of the day, they never know. Or that same chain in the car, that could be your sponsor by the time you get to where you're going. You don't even gotta pay for it. Yep. And I want to say this real quick, because you know, we like to drop jewels on here as well. To all my athletes out there, I don't know regardless of what sport, be mindful that the people who's recruiting you or watching you, they don't know, they don't know you. They don't know you as a person. So when you be be careful of the music you choose, I would I would suggest use instrumentals. Be careful of the music you choose to put behind your highlights. Another thing, I see a lot of offensive highlights. Who gonna who gonna produce that defensive highlight? That's what we do at Big Guard Mentality, skill over size. Who gonna who gonna who're gonna sit up there and show me a three-minute, you know what I'm saying? A three-minute defensive joint. I tell kids, defense gonna keep you on that court. Because if this guy coming in here scoring 30 and 40, and this person right here is the defender, who you think is gonna be in the game? You understand? So I'm gonna start seeing more of your defensive highlights tape. Who's gonna change the mode? Who gonna who's gonna shake it up? It's about to listen. This is this is something, I guess this is we already talking about it, right? Like you said, a message to the kids, also watch out for your watch your circle. You feel me? Keep your circle tight. Because at the end of the day, it's always gonna be problems within your circle. But the thing is, you gotta know how to maneuver them and get through them. You feel me? Like, you gotta push through whatever you're going through. Why? Because this is how I think about it. It's always somebody doing worse than us. You feel me? Like, it's it's always something worse. Like, yeah, we get up, we get mad, we can't get up in the morning. It's somebody that can't get up. You know what I mean? We mad, we tweaked our ankle, it's somebody that don't have a foot. Like, it's it's literally, you can really think about so many things. Like, like we we see things, we hear things, but it's always, I mean, it's always somebody out there that needs us. That we never know who we might touch with this. It doesn't gotta always be monetary. It could be an ear. It's just an ear. It's just something that listen, we here for y'all, like I said, mental, and it's dope that we're doing it during mental health month. You feel me? So it's even that that makes it even doper because mental health is something. Find you somebody that find you somebody to lock into that's doing better than you. Absolutely, you know, basketball-wise, school-wise, all them type of things. Find somebody to lock in, like a good role model that you see, like you know you don't get up for the gym at eight, but you keep seeing him over there get up at six. It's like, yo, you know what? Nah, I'm gonna just rock with you. Compete with me now with me. Yeah, you know, you know, it's at the class, you see everybody slide, go holla at your teacher for five minutes. You know what I'm saying? See where you could you could pick up and you could do this and you could do that. And the best, like the best bet is just finding somebody who is already locked in. Yeah. You feel me? Because you find like I used to go to school, I used to go with these people, and it was easy to run with the knuckleheads. Because the knuckleheads having fun. It's like, damn, you keep playing bump time. I don't feel like this, I don't feel like, but yo, look at Kobe, look at all these people, like with this mentality where it's like, yo, I'm gonna win. And it's like, trust me, the knuckleheads ain't going nowhere. Yeah, they're gonna always be right there. They're gonna always be right there. When you get the millions, the knuckle, and you look back, they right there still. Like, you know what I'm saying? Hey, hey, hey. But on um, you know, like we like to say on this show, man. Um, shout out to Set Culture. We're gonna leave y'all with this. Since Jay-Z, shout out to Jay-Z, Jay-Z been um in here. He's throwing some subliminal messages out there. I'm gonna give y'all some subliminal. It's up to y'all to figure out what it is. Y'all notice that these cuffs right here is different colors. Pick y'all cuffs up. Y'all notice these cuffs right here is different colors. Probably missing a couple of colors. But subliminally, if we all come together, we can make really make this world great. Yo, salute, man.
