SPEAKER_01

Yo, what up, what up, what up? This certified legend main event. This is the Alley U Sports Show, not your ordinary alley U.

SPEAKER_02

And it's your boy Rockstar Q, man. We back outside. Yeah, we back outside. Game two, baby. Game game two. Will the energy still be lit? Hey, the energy always gonna be there. It's New York, baby. It don't even look. They be there. New York energy be there when they losing. New York energy be there when they winning. Listen, it ain't gonna change. The city don't sleep. They stay up all night. Listen, New York. Y'all stole one. Pop, talk to me. Got a question for you.

SPEAKER_01

Talk to me, sir.

SPEAKER_02

You're going into game two as a Spurs coach right now. They just stole one from the crib. What's your adjustments? What's the adjustment right now? Or is there any adjustments that you can make, or is it just you just gotta play your game?

SPEAKER_01

If I'm the Spurs coach, I'm gonna have to throw some old school in there. Throw some old school in there? Yeah, man. See, look. I wanna see something. I'm gonna have to see something the first four minutes. We're going man to man. Man to man. They play man. Yeah, but they wanna play a little slough off and this and that and the third. We're gonna go man to man.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And because everybody thought the Knicks wasn't gonna have that energy because they was off. True. So, like you said, they stole one.

SPEAKER_02

They stole one for sure.

SPEAKER_01

They gotta come out and bring that energy.

SPEAKER_02

Maybe not, maybe not stole. They took one. They took one. They ain't still it. They took one. They took it, they earned that one. They was down 14, came back. They took that.

SPEAKER_01

But we gotta, we gotta, we gotta, we gotta switch some things on our defense. And like like like my my other son said, Cuddy Corey, he said, um, they gotta bring Wimby out. So so he got Wimby out the paint. Once you get Wimby out the paint, like I said, it's like a dead one he sees headlights. He ain't like they don't even go nowhere near the paint when Wimby's there. So anything you could do to get Wimby out the paint. So now I gotta be coaching. I'm the coach of the Spurs. Okay, if that's if that's one of the strategies anybody thinking about, we gotta adjust.

SPEAKER_02

Everybody else gotta clamp up.

SPEAKER_01

And I think I think everything, the reason why I say old school, um the old school saying is the defense is the best offense. So we gotta tighten up on defense. And like I said, we all we come out the gate playing man to man the first four minutes. Man to man. We're gonna see who really what. We're gonna see who yo, everything goes through Brunson.

SPEAKER_02

Now, now look, right? Now, put yourself in Mike Brown position, head coach of the Knicks. Now, what is your adjustment? Do you adjust or do you can play the same? Now, you started off down 14. Who's to say that that theory could work? That you could come back every time. Now, look, now, before we get into the Knicks, I don't like how De'Aaron Fox played 23 minutes. Dylan Harper only played three minutes in the fourth quarter. Dylan Harper had 16 in the first half alone by himself. He was wilding. You saw it. Putting on a show, balling out, right?

SPEAKER_01

So you say, so you say you hold up, when you're getting at it, what you what would you let me what would you do as the Knicks?

SPEAKER_02

I think I as a Spurs coach.

SPEAKER_01

About what you're talking about.

SPEAKER_02

What I'm talking about right now as a Spurs coach, I think Dylan Harper, I will put Dylan Harper in his third lineup. I will put him in the starting lineup, have De'Aaron come off as a six man, and let De'Aaron just be that vocal lead and that that lead guard coming off the bench. Just reason reason be is because Stefan Castle and Dylan Harper, they're the slash bros. You got the splash bros, and then you got the slash bros. So they they they they know how to play together. It's like a like I'm not saying De'Aaron's not good. De'Aaron is great, but what I just feel like him playing that six-man role coming off the bench, he'll be able to be himself the whole way through. He won't have to worry about having to feed everybody, having to everybody have just having that control. Now you could just go be a scorer, go get a bucket. You could you could dime people when you have to, but you could just be that elite guard that I know you are, bro. I I just see that it's not enough room, you know what I mean, for everybody. I get it. It's the NBA, it's not enough room, but what Dylan is doing, you cannot not play him. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's 16 points from a rookie.

SPEAKER_01

From a rookie, you're a hair on your nose, yeah. We keep it real over here, yo.

SPEAKER_02

So, yeah, nah, so yeah, so so yeah, nah. I just want I just wanted to I just wanted to reiterate uh say that because Dylan Harper was somebody that really stood out to me, and it was weird that they only play him three minutes in the fourth quarter.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, you know, they got their system waves, maybe like I said, you know, they watch film, and I know. Nah, they might have saw something that they might have saw something that we didn't see. You keep you keep the adjustments, but I think Dylan deserved that. And uh let's just see how it works. I would love to do I would I would try that early.

SPEAKER_02

If I'm dealing, if I'm Dylan, I'm I'm I'm going at him early the same thing I've been doing. Just because of the simple fact that it's working. Everything that you're doing, everything you prepare for this, bro. I could tell, you could tell, you could tell.

SPEAKER_01

You know, that's our little bro. That's never you say you say you're not saying it because you're a left-handed and he's a left-handed? Nah, like it's something with left.

SPEAKER_02

Listen, I can say that too because we lefties, but it's something with lefties, bro. You can't guard us, it's impossible. You could try, but it's not, it's just like we're orthodox. You you literally going to have to like, especially someone like Dylan, like he's shifty. You know what I mean? Like, I'm not saying he's a crazy shooter, but he can knock down a jump shot. He can shoot over you. And he's 6'8, bruh. 6'6, 6'6, 6'8, 6'6, 6'8.

SPEAKER_01

So do I hear do I hear 1-1? 6-6-6-7. Do I hear one one? We definitely got to get teddy. Nah, to be honest, we gotta do teddy picks. Don't forget, man. Yeah, we gotta do teddy picks.

SPEAKER_02

We gotta do teddy picks, but not what I'm thinking about is I think it's gonna be a great game tonight, but something is telling me, man. Knicks? The Knicks, man, they brewing, man. They're gonna be. Let me ask y'all a question.

SPEAKER_01

Let me ask y'all something. Because yo, this this was this was on my mind. I'm gonna ask y'all a question. It's for all this for everybody out there. And it's for you too, son. Yeah, I mean. Do y'all think it's possible that the Knicks will sweep the Spurs?

SPEAKER_02

They won 12 straight. So they swept, they swept. They swept, they swept mostly everybody they played. Sound like Don Stanley, man.

SPEAKER_01

Sound like the coach from Tennessee, man, Vivian Stringer for Ruckers. I don't know, man. Sometimes no streaks, the game is a good idea. Listen, when you're gonna be able to get the basketball is where amazing happens. That bump different, man. That drive.

SPEAKER_02

NBA is where amazing happens, man. You never know what might happen. Like, if they 4-0, the Spurs, then they just getting their get back from 1999. That's what they're doing. 1999, 1999. They're getting their get back. They getting their get back. That's all it's gonna be. Like, it's like it's it's it's different. Like, I don't know how to explain it. Like, it's like, all right, so the Knicks, man, like I said, everywhere they go, it's like the garden, bro. Like, it's like pandemonium. It's pandemonium, it's crazy. It's a circus, and it's all like we got we got family, yo. Sorry, family popped up, and they go and it's like Coach Kaz, man. Love them to death, man. Prestige Prep, shout out to the couple.

SPEAKER_01

We we have, yo, listen, y'all have Regina. Yeah, we are a lot of audience, all that. So they just popped up and you know what I mean? And uh, you know, they came to show some love.

SPEAKER_02

But yeah, so we're gonna get back into the into the next thing, right? So boom. If you as a coach, what's your are you adjusting or are you gonna keep going?

SPEAKER_01

Like I said, it go back, it go back to the film. So I think we would adjust, but also use what's working too. You don't wanna, like they said, if it's not broke, you ain't gotta fix it. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

What I'm saying though, they started off, look, check this, right? Check this, right? They started off losing, they was down 14. Now, I'm not saying that that's the best strategy. I'm not saying that they wanted to do that, but starting off slow is not always the best option. Because you may run into it's the finals now. So, like if a team gets a 16, 17-point lead, people don't think that they're gonna come back, but they ain't you see the Knicks, they find a way, yo. That's why I like the Knicks, yo. They find a way, yo. The Knicks find a way. And from me, from my personal experiences from playing basketball and the teams I played for, I was on teams that had to find a way. You feel me? Every team I played for, we had to find a way. We was down. Uh it was times. So the Knicks, they doing the same thing. They finding a way to win. It don't matter. Like I remember yesterday, yo. Last game, man, Corey was like, yo, OG An and Nobi. He was like, yo, OG An and Nobi ain't doing nothing. He scored eight straight after Corey said that. He said, he said, yo, literally, he scored eight straight after Corey said, yo, he's not doing nothing. Next thing you know, he got 13 points. He balling, and they and they coming back and they winning. So it's like, yo, anybody can step up.

SPEAKER_00

That's the bigger one.

SPEAKER_02

If the burnt ball is about Brunson is burning and Kat is hooping, it's up for New York, baby. I is listen, pandemonium. Pandemonium, man. Is it's the garden everywhere.

SPEAKER_01

So tonight the city's gonna be why?

SPEAKER_02

Listen, city's gonna be crazy. I'm gonna be out there. I'm out there. So what?

SPEAKER_01

You know what? You mentioned a lot yours. You mentioned yesterday, right? There's a lot of Jersey going on, both sides, across the water, New York Knicks, New Jersey Knicks. I think, I think, I don't know, man. It's been, I don't know, man. Something's been pushing me. I think we need to have a watch party. A watch party? Had to be fire.

SPEAKER_02

I'm saying. Listen, if y'all here, if y'all here head personally.

SPEAKER_01

What we doing? What we doing?

SPEAKER_02

You want to have a watch party? You know what I'm saying? Y'all want to do that? Y'all wanna come through and watch the finals with us? Y'all wanna come through and chop it up, talk about? You know what I mean? Mix it up a little bit and have some fun. Let us know.

SPEAKER_01

We're gonna be here either way.

SPEAKER_02

Let us know. You know what I mean? We're gonna be here either way. But just, you know what I mean? If y'all wanna come through, come through and really chop it up. I mean, have some good time, family vibes.

SPEAKER_01

But it's not, you know why, you know why, more so not, you know, the watch party is super dope, especially, you know, that Knicks energy, that New Jersey energy. How many times do we really get a chance for the fans? For the fans to just come in and like, yo, grab the mic. Like, come, we want to hear from the fans, man. A lot of times, the fans, the supporters, you know, those that they team didn't make it or whatever it may be, like this the opportunity, and this is what this is about to come and just like like we want to hear it. I know it's some crazy stories out there. Somebody's gonna be like, yo, forget both teams, but yeah, this watch party is gonna be a little different, man.

SPEAKER_02

It's gonna be different. It's gonna be content creators pulling up, like you know, the music, everybody coming through. Music, artists, everybody. Whoever wants to do something, you make art, you draw art, you do something, man. Listen, bring your bring your portraits, baby. We put them everywhere. Listen, this is the alley sports show. We support everybody. Talk to me.

SPEAKER_01

I was getting a lot of um DMs, inboxes, and messages. Yo, a lot of people excited about the high time, yo. The high time show, man. High time show. We know we got a halftime show. We got the high time show. You know, I mean, it's gonna be about you know, Cuddy Corey. I called Kidding.

SPEAKER_02

Me and my brother, Coach K. Me and my older brother, Corey.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, my brother's. Sponsored and feud by Big Gas. If you know, you know. The powerful, you know, you know, but um, yeah, man. I think it's gonna be fun. Because, like, once again, I I love interaction with people, man. You know, give people opportunity to hear what they gotta say about the finals, to see if they feel that energy that we feel, that we talk about, been talking about. It's giving me flashback, man. Yo, Mousy. Yo, you give me this this this New York energy giving me flashbacks, man. Nah, New York. Over 20 years ago you came to my own. Listen, listen.

SPEAKER_02

As y'all can tell, as y'all can tell, if y'all watch it, y'all can tell. We we big New York right now. Yeah, I mean, and we ain't we just fans of the game, baby. We love basketball, man. This is something that we grew up doing forever. And I started playing, you know, I mean, not just because of my dad, but just because of everything. Basketball is like, it's just therapeutic, you know what I mean? So, listen, watching it, seeing all the energy, seeing the fans go crazy, that that's that's like you can't, it that's something you can't really describe. Like, you know what I'm saying, unless you live in it. Like, unless you in it, you really won't understand what it feels like. Because it's like, yo, I know how y'all Knicks fans feel. Like, you feel me? Like, it's been a long time coming.

SPEAKER_01

Yo, let them know. So, since we're talking about this energy and we let y'all know how real it is. Yo, I heard the Allah U show gonna be out. Um, you're gonna be out today with your lady somewhere. You're gonna you heard y'all heard you're gonna feel some of that energy live and direct. We're gonna be here.

SPEAKER_02

Nah, nah, we're gonna be at we're gonna be at this spot called the mean fiddler. You feel me?

SPEAKER_01

So if they see you, pull up and get some questions, talk to some people while y'all want to make this real real.

SPEAKER_02

Y'all wanna talk shop about basketball? Y'all wanna y'all wanna chop it up? Y'all wanna come at me about something? Listen, I'm gonna be there in the direct. You know what I mean? We outside, man. Alley U Sports Show. We gonna be here all day, every day, 24-7. There's nothing that y'all can't do no more. We done, we gave y'all y'all time. We gave y'all y'all time. We gave it to y'all. Y'all, yeah. Y'all did what y'all had to do with it. But now, you know what I mean? It's a takeover, baby. It's what we do.

SPEAKER_01

So from from I know Cuddy Corey would ask this question. So when it comes to the you know, the legal betting, a game, a game to this at this magnitude, do you like how you how you think that is? Like, is it is it is it for for a better? You know, is it is it uh is it good? Like, you know, is a gamble, is it good right now? Is these good games to bet on?

SPEAKER_02

But to be honest, to be honest, betting right now is probably the hardest thing to do because it's only one game. You feel me? So you gotta know, if you're gonna bet, you gotta bet correct. You know what I mean? There's no, there's no like, and if if if you put somebody on your ticket and then you if you look at your ticket and feel like somebody's gonna mess your ticket up, take them off. Because at the end of the day, you don't know who's gonna pop. And one thing for sure, in the NBA finals, them X factors matter. Somebody that don't get they're gonna lose, or for instance, you gotta know what's going on. Like, for instance, you never know. A guy like Kelden Johnson could come out, six men of the year, come out here three threes. Three threes for Kelvin Johnson, I guarantee that's some good money there. But I'm saying, but we ain't gonna talk about that. But yeah.

SPEAKER_01

No, we're gonna talk about that a little bit because. No, I'm saying, I said a little too much. A little too much. That's like inside trade or betting or whatever, maybe. But listen to what I'm saying though. Like, you know, like I'll be seeing a lot of the sports things, shout out to the sports betting companies, this, that, and the third. It's super dope, right? But my thing is this when you watch these different ads and commercials, right? Yeah, I noticed that it's like, I know everything has to have a marketing plan, right? A marketing scheme or whatever, and then they go after the ones who's like, I guess, uh popular by numbers, right? But my thing is, wouldn't a person feel better even seeing an advertisement with people who actually do this, who actually can sit and have this conversation about sports. And we ain't talking about, we talking about basketball, we're talking about all sports. Yeah. So I want them to get this alley oop we're throwing right now. To all y'all sport betting companies out there, we we do this on this show. That's why it's called the Allo U Sports Show, not your ordinary Ally U. So we're throwing all the sport betting companies out there to be able to look, this y'all opportunity.

SPEAKER_02

This y'all opportunity. This y'all opportunity.

SPEAKER_01

Today's show is sponsored by the buckle. You know what I'm saying? So we're just gonna get that out there respectfully. Respectfully. They say sometimes you can't wait for the the women. We gotta go towards the week, we're gonna get real. Listen, oh, that sounds good. Get real bets from real people, your all-day walks of life. Those that know what it's like to be in the finals. That's fire. Those that know what that New York energy, that Spurs energy about. Because I'll tell you what, you know, oh yeah, yeah, I like his picks. You know what I'm saying? I like his picks.

SPEAKER_02

I like his picks. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_01

I like his picks. You feel what I'm saying? But it gotta be more stuff going on with sports. Like, like I know the the finals, we covered that stuff with the Knicks and the Spurs. I love to the best team. But what what what else is going on?

SPEAKER_02

Nah, so look, shout out, shout out the women's Texas softball team. They won the NCAA World Series. Shout out to them, shout out to Texas Tech for making it that far. Shout out for Texas Tech for pushing that hard. No, listen, it's hard it takes hard work to get through there. It ain't it ain't easy being in the championship. And listen, you guys made it to the champion, to the championship. Y'all guys lost, but that's okay. You know what I mean? Okay. That means that the get back is gonna be gonna be even better. Y'all gonna see them multiple times. That's your arrival, so I already know. So shout out Texas, though. Texas Longhorns women. Um, but last night, right? I was able, I got the opportunity to watch Caitlin Clark. She did her thing last night, yo. She listen, listen, she is, she is, she is, she is Caitlin Clark. If anybody thinks that she just a shooter, then I don't know. Because I was able to see her last night. She was off. She was she shot two for eight from three. You know what I mean? That's that's that's that's not it's not real of her. I mean, but she she gets him up. But like I said, shooters have their slumps. Shooters have their slumps. I'll tell you that now. Yeah, you could be the best shooter, even Steph Curry.

SPEAKER_01

You could look it up. It was a debate. It's hard to cut you off. It was it was a debate. I saw something that was trending about Caitlin Clark, and it was like trying to call her the GOAT now. Um what's her take on that? The GOAT?

SPEAKER_02

Nah, she's not the goat at all. She's saying yeah, she is she's she's a great, she's a great player. She plays hard, she's good, she can score, she does more than just shoot. She does more than what people uh portray her to do. But um the GOAT right now in the WNBA, man, Audrey Wilson, MVP, rings on rings.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

You know what I mean? She do, she she do what she gotta do, she get it done. You know what I mean? Like, and before her, you can name a bunch. You know what I mean? You can't even, it ain't even just one. You could go Diana Tarasi, you go Lisa Leslie, you could go uh Samika Dixon, Auntie, you could go uh Swing Names, you could go Sweet dropping names. We could drop yo, come on, you could go Dawn Staley and them like that. It's a Rebecca Lobo. You could go, we could go down the list, you know what I mean? But right now, the W, listen, I love the W. I love watching them, right?

SPEAKER_01

You mentioned the great man.

SPEAKER_02

We're talking about some Joanna, man. Yo, here this guy. Yo, yo, this guy's a clown, man. Don't mess with this guy. But check it though. But no, but for real though, I was watching, I got the opportunity to watch the rookie, Olivia Miles. Olivia? Listen, Olivia Miles. If you know, you know. She's from Jersey, too. Jersey. She is nice, Pops. Hey, Pop, listen. I was able to watch her last night, and she had 28, 7-4. She's a rookie. She is leading her team right now. She plays for the Minnesota Lynx.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

She is leading her team right now. I believe they're 7-2. She's a rookie. You know what I mean? Minnesota was just in the finals, if I'm not mistaken. Somebody could correct me in the comments. They were just in the finals. I don't know if they won or not, but I believe they might have won. They might have won. Word is born. They brought her there. That's listen, she's nice, Pops. Like, listen, she is the ultimate PG. She, listen, she wears them goggles for a reason. That's right. She gets to it. She gets to it, Pops. Like, I'm talking about. What school she went to? She went to Notre Dame. And then she transferred to uh TCU.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

So that was listen, she's a bucket pops. I like her game. She's very nice. She's my rookie of the year already. And it ain't even that much into the season, but she's my rookie of the year already. Olivia Miles, if you see this, you my rookie of the year. You got my vote already. And I ain't even. You know what I mean?

SPEAKER_01

You got if you got anything. You got my vote. Now, you know that lens I always talk about? Yeah. Well, I see I might see something that sticks out.

SPEAKER_02

What is it?

SPEAKER_01

Um, I was watching that game you said with Caitlin yesterday.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Man, I'm so happy where. And I was waiting for this moment. Bro, the fans is in there.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah, the fans, they fans.

SPEAKER_01

Fans is in there. Man, the WNBA, man. Oh man, I was I was so waiting for this moment. Because I will, you know, I will always ask y'all like, yo, why like why don't like okay, if you got the Lakers, you got the Sparks, you know, you got Big Bro, you got Big Sis, like why they don't support? Why those I know I get it. They were saying the game, it was entertaining, whatever, have you, but man, yo, like that right there brings a smile to my face, bro. Like part of the younger. Yeah, man. Like you're watching the young man. Listen, like I said, the W, the W, listen. Support that. Support the biggest big thing.

SPEAKER_02

If you don't watch the W, if you don't watch the W, you don't really like basketball for real. Because like I said, the W, man, women's basketball, they play the game the right way. Yeah. They they they it's they're fundamentally sound. It's good basketball. Like, it's not like, yeah, it's no dunking. So what? So what? Like so, what if it's no dunking? Somebody could cross somebody up, throw a nice dom. Oh my God. I mean, that's like that's something like you got women out here getting 50, getting 40, getting 60. I don't know if she got 60, but yeah, something close to it, probably. But at the end of the day, they could do it if they wanted to. Like, I know, I know they could. W, listen, the W is good basketball. It's great entertainment for us. You know what I mean? And they hooping for real. You know what I mean? Like, listen, I got the opportunity to play with a great WNBA player. You feel me? Cappy Pondexter. If you know, you know. She is nice, bruh. Up at Ruckers. I remember playing, man, listen, she took over the runs, bruh, with men. She was taking over the runs, bruh. I was in high school. She was taking over the runs. I'm talking about she doll gang. I'm talking with a men's basketball and everything. So that was that that right there was my first scene of like as I'm older, like seeing a woman that played for Ruckers at the time. She was, she was, you know what I mean? All American, all of that. She was doing her thing. Like Cabbie was nice. Like she was wilding. I'm talking about, uh, she was bugging. You know, you know. She was bugging.

SPEAKER_01

Yo, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Talk to me.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry, God, I got a story. The day that I got the utmost respect for female athlete.

SPEAKER_02

It was me, Team USA.

SPEAKER_01

It was me, Uncle Bouta, Kwame, Sabros. You got Barbara, Razor Shaw, and a couple, and then a couple more. And Tamika was like, yo, yo, bro, we're gonna be at the facility. Um, bring a couple, bring the guys we want to practice, right? Yo.

SPEAKER_02

They fried y'all to smithereens. Oh my god. I know they did. Saute, butter, all of that.

SPEAKER_01

This is crazy. Yo, shout out to I can't think of Brandon, Mick Uncle, yo, Jadabu Bowers, all of them, but yo, listen, man, Westfield family. Listen, bro. Yo, I was able to do some things I'll do, but listen, when the coach said, yo, you know, you guys gotta get like at least at least cause half court. You know what I mean? Because we play, you know, we we rock out, we rocks out in the neighborhood and stuff like that. But bro, we we really didn't, we was more like, yo, it's females. Like they we're gonna kill them. Man, shout out to Stevie, because of Stevie, yo. Yo, listen, man, you know what I'm talking about. Stevie, man. Listen, that game, and that was, yo, let them know who was on that team.

SPEAKER_02

Rebecca Lobo, Dawn Staley, Lisa Leslie. Um I believe it was uh, what's her name? Um forgot her name. It was a couple of them. It was a couple of them. Yeah, it was TMUSA. It was a couple of them, but I definitely remember that team. Yeah, uh Auntie.

SPEAKER_01

That day, after that game, after that day, I felt like like wow, man. Like, like, like, yo, I respect it. And and and and and different sport, but female. We got an opportunity to really, really, really, really, really, you know, we could see it on TV, maybe see it up close, but the Jersey wave, bro. The Jersey show wave women's football team.

SPEAKER_02

I'm saying, though, I'm saying though, what that got to do with uh them killing y'all though.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna hit off that, bro. I try to dye this guy. Yo, go ahead, man. I ain't one person that stuffed. Hey yo, I'm just trying to figure out what happened. He yo, he jumped the more about the fucking shit. They cooked him, they look they cooked him that bad, man.

SPEAKER_02

Hey, look, if y'all listen to that, they smoked him that bad. He jumped the football. He switched the whole sport. He switched the whole sport. He said, The Jersey Show Wave.

SPEAKER_01

He went from getting cooked to the jersey show wave. Yo, listen, listen. I had to figure out how to just end that conversation. You can tell about your son. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_02

Shout out the Jersey Show Wave, man. We're gonna talk about it. The W, I think it's the W the Women's National Football League.

SPEAKER_01

Or Women's Football League, Women's National Football League, something like that. This guy's crazy. But I'd say from the rip, I did think we did all right, but listen, we thought it was gonna be something different because it was females. He wants me to finish the story. I'm gonna finish it. All right. Nah, you got to. They cooked y'all. They did their thing, yo. It was like Martin.

SPEAKER_02

Look, just if y'all watch Martin, it was Martin versus Don Staley and them. Y'all see how that happened. He goes in, he goes out.

SPEAKER_01

Listen, man. Listen, listen. All I'm gonna say is this. In life, in life, you're gonna go through many different things, but he's this guy I think is like a loss or whatever. No, I'm talking about it. Oh no, listen, they did better than us, right? And our thing was these are women. We're gonna go in here, we're gonna have fun, we're gonna bust them behind the biggest.

SPEAKER_02

They underestimated them. They walked in there, a bunch of women that's in shape, that play professionally. No, don't hold. Don't take away from the homies now. I'm not gonna be able to get the money. I'm not taking away from the homies, but they getting ready, they getting ready to go to Team USA and play against the best in the world. Y'all, they probably just called y'all off the couch. Talk about something. Yo, we about to hoop. You probably was the only one ready to hoop for real. Nah, move.

SPEAKER_01

We was think about it.

SPEAKER_02

Like, yo, look, the team you name, the team you name losers, the team you name the team you name, though, right? I guarantee you. Listen, listen, listen, listen though. The team you name, I guarantee that they couldn't last four quarters with them. That's probably why the coach said, are y'all gonna make it cross half court? Because that was an insult. I don't even know how to take that. How the coach tell y'all y'all gotta make a cross half court? So that means that it was probably second quarter.

SPEAKER_01

Wasn't even halftime yet. You know, yo, you know what's crazy? The last time somebody told me something about like you get half caught and all that was when I worked out with the Nets, you know, I was coming off my broke leg. Yeah. Um, shout out to Van Gundy. Uh yo, the coach told me I ain't gonna front. See, I don't I don't scared this. He was like, Yeah, you know, you know, in the NBA, we get guy at least make it to the foul line. Five line to the foul line, you know. Because I was coming off a broke leg. Like, I, you know, my conditioning never was that I never worked out with basketball. You know, one day we want to make it. Now I understand though. So we want to stand, but I get it. So when she said that, I was like, this is the coach was like, and you guys, but listen, man, we're talking about women's sports. Y'all get it. I guess y'all got his point. Y'all got his point. We went, my crew, Nordica Block, winning WC.

SPEAKER_02

Listen to the team name, Nautica Block. There's no way you thought they was about to come in there with a block. What you mean? I love a block. No, no, I'm saying I love that, but there's no way you thought you were about to beat a bunch of Olympic gold medalists. We had a good team. Well, in our mind, look, I had a good team.

SPEAKER_01

You got Quad as his brother. Shout out, Nett. They were the one king of the pond. You got Stevie, you know what I'm saying? You got we had we we had it, we in our eyes and our eyes and our heart, like, yo, and then sis called us. Look, the conversation went like this. We get a call, boom. Sis, yo, yo, sis, yo, uh, what? Yo, bro, what y'all doing? Yo, we just chillin', blah, blah, blah. Yo, I'm gonna call Stevie. Stevie gonna set something up. We're gonna go over to the East Rutherford and want y'all to practice and and play against the WNBA um Olympic team.

SPEAKER_00

So we like this, like, we're about to go bust their ASS. That's really how our conversation went. So it didn't work out like that, but it was an opportunity because you know, yeah, it didn't work out like that. I mean, respectfully, y'all, y'all know. I wish you know, I wish you'll know what the score was.

SPEAKER_02

I wish social media was around. I really do. Because look, it's hard to find people killing my pops, bruh. You know what I mean? And to hear that women was busting their, yeah, I mean, I want to see that footage. Auntie, Auntie, if you listen in, if you if you have any type of footage of y'all playing this guy, please send it. Because I want to see. I want to see this.

SPEAKER_01

By the time y'all remix this, just don't tell a story like, yo, yeah, we heard Mandy win in his school, noticed a block. They put against some some ladies and lost. No, it was the WSBA team, USA, and I learned Olympic gold medalists, Olympic gold medalists they played against.

SPEAKER_02

So look, so at the end of the day, there's not a lot of people that can say that they played against a bit Olympic gold medalists. And I can say my uncles, my cousins, my family, they they played against them. They got cooked, but it's all good because my auntie was a part of that. My auntie was a part of that look. So look, you know what team I'm on. You know what team I'm on.

SPEAKER_01

I'm on the winning team, you hear me? And I wasn't really following basketball like that. You feel me? I wasn't really following, but I knew the names and stuff, you know. But sis, you know, when sis make that call, um, especially when cousin Stevie, any, you know, any of the Westfield family holler, we gotta pull up. And we pulled up. I mean, we was very humble. We pulled up and we left, but the point I the thing I less and I learned from it was well, I can't see it as a loss or whatever. You trying to say whatever, I'm not gonna go talk about it no more. They did their thing. I'm gonna just say that. But with the New Jersey Show Wave women's football team, tackle football.

SPEAKER_02

Tackle, tackle. The oldest is 50, and the youngest is 17.

SPEAKER_01

Shout out to the all everybody from shout out to everybody from Jersey Show Wave.

SPEAKER_02

You know that y'all have a name.

SPEAKER_01

New knee. Hey, no, no. That's a different name for a female. Her name is New Noonie. I thought she was saying they call you Nooney. She said, no, new knee. I said, New knee. Because it's football, so you want to think nothing else, you know what I'm saying? Be like, yo, what up, Noonie? No, she was like, she pointed, no, I got a new knee. So look at the look at what the women go through. They know different than us, yo. We equal, yo. We equal. Because I'm 52 years old. They have a 50-year-old quarterback doing their thing, right? New organization, so y'all know how that goes, but they having fun. But I couldn't go out there and play with them. I damn near sprained my ankles, flipping the coin with Miss News New Jersey. You know what I'm saying? So let's be real. That's why I support but that moment when we played the WNBA uh uh uh team USA team, that right there really, really, really it took away any thought where it's like, yo, that's a female, this and the third, because number one, they beat us. I'm gonna tell you why they beat us. And I'm gonna go on back to this. They're gonna tell me I'm gonna tell you why they beat us because they was more in shape than us, bro. That's it. That's it. It wasn't skill.

SPEAKER_00

No, they was in shape.

SPEAKER_01

First of all, we was like, who's gonna guard his lobo?

SPEAKER_02

Nobody. Nobody is seven foot. Not one of them is tall. So look, look, look, look, look. So look though, look though, look though, look though, look though. That's only one of the five.

SPEAKER_01

Who's Moose?

SPEAKER_02

Dawn? Uncle Moo. He was thinking Dawn? If he was thinking Dawn, then Uncle Mookie, yo, nah. Talking about some Uncle Mo. Uncle Moo versus Dawn Staley. It's like uh Mayweather versus A B right now.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, yo.

SPEAKER_02

And they just he just offered a pick for that. But while we ain't talking about women's sports, yeah. Serena Williams has landed in London. That's all I'm gonna say. She got her first, she had her first practice this morning. She has landed in London. So it's a fictional. It's not rumors. It's not a few things. It ain't rumors, it ain't no jokes. She has landed in London. She is getting back on track. I was just watching her practice right before we got on. You feel me? She is ready to go. And listen, one thing I'ma say here is listen. I know we were talking about betting earlier. If you're going back, you know what I mean? Put the house on, baby girl, because she's nice. I'll tell you that now. Serena Williams, she the GOAT. She the GOAT. Greatest woman of all time. You hear me? Because listen, Serena Williams, dick.

SPEAKER_01

You box, greatest woman of all time, boxing. You already know that. Whether you upstairs, downstairs, downstairs.

SPEAKER_02

But like look, you know we love you. She's the greatest woman of all time. Listen, y'all gonna be great. The quote is gonna be quotes for every sport.

SPEAKER_01

I love it, yo.

SPEAKER_02

I love you saying you saying, you saying, I think Serena's gonna do it. I think she's gonna do it. She said, what? Best ever. Best ever. Best ever. Like her pop said in that movie. Well, Will Smith was playing her pops, but I I guess her pop said something close to it. He was like, You see Venus? There's a reason I want you to. Venus is number one in the nation. She's number one right now, da da da. But you're gonna be the best in the world. Look, Serena is the best in the world. She's the best tennis player ever, bro. And you could tell, you could stamp that, you could talk all you want, bro. I'm standing on business. Serena Williams got it. She got it. She's about to pull LeBron. I think she's gonna win though. I think she's gonna win.

SPEAKER_01

Y'all gonna hear about things because at the end of the day, it always depends on who the authors is.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We're sharing news. We're sharing news. And Benny, we're talking about the sports show, this is Alley U Sports Show. Tavon Fish is back in the ring. Shout out to Tavon Fish. He was on the main event podcast. Lyndon Roselle. Lyndon Roselle, yes, sir. Elizabeth, you know, shout out to the Denture Center June 6th.

SPEAKER_02

June 6th. June tomorrow. Tomorrow. Tomorrow. Oh yo, also get your tickets. Also, my boy D, my boy D came in yesterday. You know what I mean? His cousin, his bro, Anthony Big Back. He also fighting. Big back. Big back. But when you see him, he, you know what I mean? He big back though. That's my guy. He ain't big back though. If you see him, but nah, he's gonna listen. He's fighting too. So listen, Prudential Center tomorrow. If y'all ain't got y'all tickets yet, get him. Because listen, them boys gonna put on the show, man. Tavon Fish, he's from the city. That's city love. That's city work. I know he's gonna put it in. Listen, I know he's gonna put in the work because where he's from.

SPEAKER_01

Absolutely, yo.

SPEAKER_02

What he does. So it's like, it's like, yo, it's like, yo, it's just certain things, like, like I said, it's just certain things about people from Jersey, man. Don't matter where you're from, what part of Jersey, it's a certain part of Jersey in you that just snap.

SPEAKER_01

That's right.

SPEAKER_02

And you become like, like if you ever notice, right? Anybody from New Jersey, you go anywhere outside of these lines of New Jersey, they're gonna know you from New Jersey. They're gonna either ask you if you're from New York or you from Jersey.

SPEAKER_01

All my life, I guess. Or you from Philly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

They're gonna ask you one of those, one of those, and then you go and you it's gonna line up because that's just who we are. We ourselves.

SPEAKER_01

Yo, but before, yo, but since we're on the sports, before we go, because I gotta clear some things out. Talk to me. Because you you you indirectly starts things. I'll be thinking then after fact. So look, for those that don't know, when you heard when you heard me say Nordica Block, my homies, my big boys, Nordica Block. Listen, man. Yeah, I'm back on this. I don't care. If y'all know me, y'all know I was gonna get back on this. I want I want to explain something to y'all. I don't want y'all just to think that it was just me and some of my homies, and we went and played against the WNBA team and all that, and we lost. Listen, my homies, Moo, Kwa, Rai, New, all yo, listen, we was known. Yeah, I was the ringer, but we was known to where we had jokers who was hustling, doing whatever, whatever in different communities, Lizabeth, playing for Rawway. Like, and we were we we were smashing jokers. We were smashing cats. Like they were pulling up in their Benzes, they outies and all that. Like they was, you know what I mean, and caddies and sedans and doing the loud music with the jeeps and all that. So we jokers know. So don't y'all just sit back there and think, saying to yourself, Oh, I wish we was around that time, we would have played them. No, y'all wouldn't have. You know what I'm saying? So we're gonna get that straight. Well, that's like when we was around that time, we would have played them.

SPEAKER_02

And we would have smoked them. You hear me? All the homies out there, y'all already know what it is, man. They don't play defense past until you pass half court. We shoot from there, you hear me? They can't guard out there. Now look, I said it. My pops will probably kill us, right? He figured away how to do it. He set himself up. He set himself up. Listen, this is what it's gonna be. Y'all can say what y'all want. If y'all know me, y'all know me. Yeah, I know my squad get crazy. But at the end of the day, we don't even gotta talk about that. My pops, he's a legend. 100%.

SPEAKER_01

Yo, Wob, you gotta come out of retirement, man. Wob. Hey, man. Yo, Wob, yo. Hey, and God rest Reek. See, yo, the big homie, yo, Reek S-A-R, yo. The R B man. Start a riot, Reek. Love you, baby. Listen, love you, baby. That was my go-to. Because nobody that he knows that he grew up with that played ball was gonna be able to guard him. Yes. Yes, I got somebody. My man Vic D. Got somebody T Ab is still playing all sports right now. He over the biggest.

SPEAKER_02

Got somebody. Who? Got two. First of all, Reek, Reek, you said you said start a riot, right? That's his name. Qua. Start a riot. Shout out to Qua, buddy. Shout out to Qua. He definitely locked it Reek early.

SPEAKER_01

You seriously?

SPEAKER_02

And then you're talking about Ab, man. Squid was out. Squill, Squill, Squill, nobody go on Squill. You know this. Squill, you know I love Squill. Hey, listen to what I said early.

SPEAKER_01

Hey, hey, Squirrel, you know I love you, Squirrel, but listen to what he said. You're 40 squirrel. You tell me you said Squirrel will give Abb 40. But you heard I said earlier? Ab is still playing. I don't know how you do it. Ab is still playing right now. That's a difference. That's a difference. That's a difference. If you want to add Patterson Facebook right now, I guarantee you, he might be playing softball, swimming, playing basketball. Rick.

SPEAKER_02

Yo, yo, right now. Okay. Okay. You know what I'm saying? Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I'm about to get moved and uh some of my boys out of retirement. What I'm saying is this though. What I'm saying is this though. What I'm saying is this though.

SPEAKER_02

What I'm saying is this though. We got a crew, bro. We got a crew though. But we out. I crew crazy. You know my crew. And it go both ways. It could go. And the crazy thing is, I got a crew that could go pro. I got a crew that's just regular in the hood. I got a crew for everything lineup that you can bring.

SPEAKER_01

Let me ask you this question. And we're going to go to this. Let me ask you a question. Talk. Because this is this comes up sometime. Was Dan you son ever better than Mr. Miyagi? We're going to figure away how to end this. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this. Let me ask you this question. Let me ask you this question. He was never better. He was never better. All right, so there you go. That's all. But but look, look though, look though. Here's the here's the box. Here's the box.

SPEAKER_02

Now look, now you gotta listen to this. What I'm about to say. My pops, Dunker. Get to it. You know what I mean? But anything, anything. Listen to me. Listen to what I'm telling y'all. Listen to what I'm telling y'all. My pops them people. My pop no, my pop like them people. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You can you hoop. You hoop. You hoop. I'm not saying you did hoop. I'm not saying you didn't hoop. But what I'm telling you is people, man. Nah, I don't sound like them people.

SPEAKER_00

What I'm trying to tell you is my pop was known for dunking.

SPEAKER_02

My pops hoop. I shoot better than you. No, you don't. No, you don't. You shoot better than me. Who showed you how to? Shit at me. God damn it. Yo, I love you, Pops, but you showed me how to take, yo, real talk. Who had that goal in the backyard? I was out there just shooting it. So who had to make sure you was able to shoot? You! But that nigga said that who told me to put the mother one at the shoot so I showed you how to shoot. Yo, listen, listen. All I'ma say is this, right? My pops love the dump, man. Love the dump, bro. I swear. Because he taught me everything about how to, he taught me the grind of basketball, bro. Like when it comes to him. Me and him worked out three times. I'm the shooter. I just never had to shoot, you feel me? And this is three times, right? I quit once. Right? I'm gonna tell you why. Nobody know this story like that. But we was working out. I had just came from training with my coaches at the beach. If you know, working out on sand, it's like your legs is done. Shout out to Larry. Shout out to Coach Larry. Coach L, man, they had me out there at 6:30 in the morning. I was out there for three hours. We was running, doing everything that you could think of, and I could not feel my legs. So me, you know what I mean? I was on my grind. I went to go work out with my dad. I said, yo, Pops, let's work out. We go to the rec center. Now, mind you, in my mind, I'm thinking I'm good, I can push through it. We start doing these like, like, like like suicides, but like push-ups within each suicide. So boom, going, I'm going, going. I'm thinking it's just three sets. He like, yo, it's five. By the time I got to the fifth one, I'm like, I bet. Now he like, yo, come on. Now he's yelling at me, like, yo, why you not running? Why you not running? Now mind you, I cannot feel my legs. Man, we start going, we start doing our joint. He just said something that just triggered me. I said, yo, it's over, yo. I threw the ball. I said, yo, it was like he got game. When he threw the ball over the thing, bro, I threw the ball. I said, bro, I'm out, bro. I'm going home. Yo, he made me run home. And look, that was a whole nother workout. I mean, so it was like, man, listen, my pop showed me the grind. He showed me the heart and not to give up on what you want to do. You know what I mean? Like, this is what life is about, though. You know what I mean? I'm happy I'm able to share these memories with my dad. You feel me? And happy that he's still here. Because a lot of people can't share these memories with their fathers, man. So being able to go from playing basketball and now I'm doing a podcast with my dad, man, that's something special, bro.

SPEAKER_01

So for me is a feeling like I know however uh King James, LeBron James felt when he stepped on that court with his son Bronny. Like, we just trying to show um, like this is real. This is this is this is real. This is real life. Like this real life, man. No matter what level it is, it could be whatever it is, man. You could go and play T ball with your child or whatever, male, female, whatever it is, whatever you could do, man, just do it.

SPEAKER_02

If you know us, you know that this us 24-7, man. We we act like this off camera, on camera, whatever. We this is what we do, man. Like, if we had a camera follow us around, y'all laugh all day, man. Cause we really we do this all day long. So listen, I'ma leave him with this, man. I'm gonna leave him with this, man. Don't don't wait for the exposure to come to you. Find it. Don't uh wait for the coach to come to you. Go to them. It's okay for coaches to uh see you, send them your highlight tip. You know what I mean? High school kids, graduation time coming around. It's getting hot outside. I know y'all getting ready to go to college and everything. Listen, college ain't just fun, man. Y'all gotta go there and do business because now you're on your own. You're away from your parents. It's time to do what you gotta do. You know what I mean? It's time for you to step up and be the man that your parents raised you to be from that time from when you was in pre-K to now. You know what I mean? Keep grinding. Remember, the process, the process only feels good when it's uncomfortable. It won't feel good during that time. But once the uncomfortable becomes comfortable, you done got life, bro. And that's what I was telling my kid the other day. I was teaching him his jump shot. He made six jumpers in a row. And I asked him, like, yo, what's going on? He like, it just feels uncomfortable. But you made six jump shots in a row. It just feels uncomfortable. What's uncomfortable? I never shot like that before. You know what I mean? What you mean? Talk to me. I never shot like that before. I don't know what that feels like. Being uncomfortable, it's gonna become comfortable. And once it becomes comfortable, now you gotta find something else that's uncomfortable. Because that's how you grow. So listen, keep growing. Stay the process, stay the course. Forget the process. Stay the course. Keep doing what you're doing. If you feel like you're doing something wrong, then probably you're doing something wrong. But you're gonna know when it's right. But yeah, I'm gonna leave y'all with this, man. We love y'all. This is your boy Rockstar Q, man. You know how I do.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna leave y'all with this. So, that story he told about in the gym, yeah, he was doing all that on the beach. I get it. But once you go on that on that court with me, I don't want to hear none of that stuff. So, long story short, he said his legs was tired, he threw the ball. But I gotta thank my my big bro. Um, Cass, Cass 3A, prestige prep. I gotta thank Budabot. Because if anybody could feel what I'm getting ready to say, just drop something in the comments. That moment right there, it taught me a lesson that somehow it's hard for us to train our kids in whatever sport that it is because they hear it all the time from us. Yo, you gotta do this, you should be doing that, you gotta do this, you gotta do that. So whereas like it becomes so repetitive that sometimes they gotta hear it from some from somebody else. With Caz and Budabot, whatever he told me, which always true, he went to the beach because Larry Marshall, salute to him. Got connected with him through my cousin B. Crawford, Norc Rams. I knew that he wasn't gonna tell Cass or Budabot that. He used to tell me, yo, his leg hurt. All right, well, so you know, as a parent, you're like, yo, okay, he's no, listen, it's hard for us to teach and teach our kids and coach our kids. So we may have to put him into the hands of somebody else who we know who's reputable, who's like, who really knows. You know what I'm saying? Because it's different. Like, you could tell me, like one day, real quick, one day, and this is my wrap up. One day we was working out and I got this joint while I be don't elbows, and he gotta keep dribbling, can't stop dribbling. I'm pushing, I bust him in his mouth. His lip was bleeding. So he stops and he looks at me. He was like, yo, Pops, you bugging. I'm not bugging, I'm preparing you. Because so if you went to basketball. His next words was you in the game, what you gonna do? What you gonna tell the coach I'm bugging, I bust in my mouth? What you next stop?

SPEAKER_02

You missing him out? His next words was, yo, what you gonna do? You gonna just tell your coach that you bust your lip and you out, and guess what? Finish the drill, rammy on to the next one.

SPEAKER_01

That's just what it is. And that's life. That's life.

SPEAKER_02

That's building heart.

SPEAKER_01

If y'all wanna know how to build heart, that's how you do it. You know what I'm saying? Hands on heart. So my my point is once again, if anybody that that understands what I'm saying, or maybe not don't know how to navigate through it, you might gotta let your child go into the hands of someone who's reputable to where they can't tell them, yo, I'm tired, coach. You can say I'm tired, dad. My leg hurt dad. Oh my son, yo, my ankle hurt dad. And just because we have that passion, that love, not saying that the coaches, whomever, don't have that same love, but they're not gonna tell them no. They not gonna tell them no.

SPEAKER_02

Shout out coaches, my uncle, we come from Catulus, man. Shout out Cyrone, shout out Coach Coach, man, shout out, man. Listen, y'all, listen, man. Shout out Coach Kalik and them too, man. They put me through, listen, listen, Coach Boudle Bob, Coach, listen, Coach Boudlebop, Coach B. Carver, they put me through the everything they could think of. And it was the same thing my dad was saying, like, put somebody in the hands of somebody that's just like them. Listen, Coach B. Carver, I wasn't, I wasn't allowed to do a lot of things. Shout out Coach Omar. If you know, you know, NBA trainer, NBA coach, all of that, all in one. Listen, I've been put through a lot of stuff, man. But Coach O, he was that one. He listen, he had me play a whole game with my right hand. He told me I couldn't shoot threes for a whole game. These were all challenges that I went through with through this whole situation.
